Terms of Use
The short version. TerraKids is a flag and geography game for kids, used with a grown-up's permission. There are no ads, no accounts and no subscriptions. The only purchase is one optional "Pay once" unlock, made by a grown-up. Use it kindly, and tell us if you find a mistake.
1. Who we are
TerraKids is made by 4V3D OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17515961). In these terms "we" means 4V3D OÜ and "you" means the grown-up who agrees to these terms for themselves and for the child who plays.
2. Agreeing to these terms
Before TerraKids can be used, a grown-up answers a short question and taps "Agree and continue". By doing that you confirm that you are an adult, that you accept these terms, and that you have read the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use TerraKids.
Kids should use TerraKids with the permission of a parent or another responsible adult. You are responsible for how the child in your care uses it.
3. What TerraKids is
TerraKids is a learning game about flags, countries and places. It is meant for fun and general learning. We work hard to keep flags, names and stories accurate, but the world changes: countries change their flags, capitals move and borders are disputed. TerraKids is not an official or political source, and showing a place in the game says nothing about our view of its status.
4. The app and paying
The full TerraKids game is an app for Android, iPhone and iPad. It is free to download and includes the first round of every map. A one-time purchase ("Pay once") unlocks every map and everything added to the app later, on that store, for as long as the app exists. There is no subscription. The purchase is made through Google Play or the App Store, and the store's own terms and refund rules apply to it.
5. Fair use
Please do not copy, sell or republish TerraKids or its stories as your own, try to break or overload the service, or use it in a way that breaks the law. Using it at home, in a classroom or in a kindergarten group is welcome.
6. Content and credits
The game, its design and its stories belong to 4V3D OÜ. Some parts come from open sources under their own licences: country flags from the flag-icons project (MIT licence), US state flags from the us-state-flags package (ISC licence), maps from Natural Earth (public domain) and basic country data from the world-countries project (ODbL). Their licences stay with those parts.
7. No guarantees
TerraKids is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under consumer law and cannot be taken away.
8. Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, 4V3D OÜ is not responsible for indirect losses arising from using TerraKids. Nothing here limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we raise the version number and the app asks a grown-up to agree again. Small fixes to wording do not need a new agreement.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If something goes wrong, please write to us first and we will try to fix it. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the country you live in.
